This is the miniature version of my popular tabletop yarn swift for use with embroidery floss and thread. It is designed to hold your skein and smoothly feed you thread as you wind bobbins, avoiding irritating floss tangles.
Handcrafted from solid Maple hardwood, this swift is designed to be much more durable and longer lasting than flimsy 3D printed models. The mechanism spins on a center bronze bearing for long lasting smooth operation. Includes a set of four 2.5 inch long solid red oak pegs and a table clamp for use on surfaces up to 3.25 inches thick. Both clamp and swift base include non-marking, non-skuff pads.
This swift is carefully hand sanded, oiled and waxed to a natural smooth satin finish.
Supports skein circumferences of 6-13 inches (Example skein shown in pics is the popular DMC 6 strand embroidery floss).
