This is our beautifully handmade 24" tabletop, Amish style yarn swift, featured in Hand Woven Magazine. This wooden yarn swift was lovingly handcrafted in our workshop from solid Maple hardwood. Carefully hand sanded and finished with a combination of oil and wax for a natural smooth satin finish.

Not interested in those cumbersome umbrella swifts? Try this folding, simple to use and versatile Amish style table top model (no clamping needed!). You'll agree it's the best deign out there for all your knitting, spinning and weaving needs.

Our 24" handcrafted swift / yarn winder can be set up or broken down in a mater of seconds with just a few turns of the handle. Designed to be portable this yarn swift is fully collapsible to only 24" x 3 1/4" x 7" (including pegs) for easy transport and storage. Adjustable to accommodate skeins with circumferences from 25" all the way up to 68". Built to last for smooth and quiet operation yet light weight for easy transport (weighing in at only 2lb 5oz). Feet include non-skid non-scuff pads for table top use. No more loose worn out pegs... the 4 supplied pegs are tapered, designed to fit snugly for the life of your swift.

Just what I was looking for—a well-made swift that will last the rest of the time I'm on earth knitting! I couldn't stomach spending $60 on a swift from Amazon that reviewers were saying broke after a couple years of use. It was a no brainer to spend a little extra to support a woodworker and get something that will last a lifetime (and probably longer!)

I'm very pleased with this tabletop swift. It's well-constructed and is so quiet when in use. It's very easy to fold and unfold and setup for use.

This is a very well made yarn swift. Easy to put together and works beautifully. The base is wide and the wood is substantial so it is extremely stable while winding the yarn. My only comment would be for the pegs to be a bit longer. It would be wonderful for the vendor to sell pegs that were a bit longer so that I could use the longer pegs for larger skeins of yarn and the smaller ones for smaller skeins. But, by from my experience, this is the best swift on the market.
